Bio-integration

The Power of Octane Skelite

Our proprietary calcium phosphate bioceramic, Octane Skelite, uses the element silicon to generate a phase composition that is naturally remodelled by the activity of bone cells (osteoclasts, osteoblasts)*. After initial bone stabilization, silicon promotes bone regeneration, progressively replacing the calcium phosphate scaffold throughout the implant with natural bone tissue*.

Strength

The Durability of PEEK

Polyether ether ketone (PEEK) is an FDA-approved thermoplastic polymer that provides the implant unparalleled strength and durability. The modulus of PEEK is ideally suited to skeletal implant applications. Furthermore, the structural integrity of PEEK ensures that the implant maintains its strength throughout the bone remodelling process.

Game-Changing Innovation

Introducing Octane HyperPEEK

HyperPEEK is a ground-breaking biocomposite that redefines structural integrity and biostimulation, revolutionizing implant technology. By enabling direct bone bonding and initiating progressive cellular remodeling, HyperPEEK enhances structural stability and minimizes fibrous tissue formation*.

From Surface
to Core

With initial biological fluid absorption, promotion of bone bonding and subsequent progressive cellular remodelling, HyperPEEK technology redefines innovation in interbody fusion*.

Continuous Calcium Phosphate Network Stimulates Cellular Remodeling

Unlike other PEEK implants that have limited bone bonding at the surface, HyperPEEK's interconnected Skelite structure promotes progressive remodeling throughout the implant. With cellular remodelling of the inner Skelite scaffold, natural bone progressively replaces the scaffold to enable natural bone integration throughout the implant*.

Calcium Phosphate Biominerals Minimize Implant Fibrosis

The presence of calcium phosphate at the implantation site enhances bone bonding and minimizes the formation of fibrous tissue encapsulation that commonly compromises conventional PEEK implants*.

Innovative 3D Matrix Promotes Regeneration

The microstructure of the internal strut network of the Skelite matrix promotes the absorption of biological fluids, further enhancing the remodelling capabilities of the mineral phase of the implant through the activity of osteoblast and osteoclast bone cells.

Precision Insertion, Enabled

The Skelite matrix elevates the Exo implant to a new dimension in medical imaging. Its near-bone density that is recognizable on imaging scans allows for precise placement during surgery and offers exceptional clarity in follow-up assessments. Enhanced by perpendicular tantalum rods, Exo excels at spinal implant visualization.

Insert Exo, Your Way

Exo implants come with an innovative X-shaped inserter. It's not just an inserter; it's an extension of the surgeon's skill, offering flexibility on how to hold the implant based on personal preference.

Versatility, Redefined

The remarkable properties of HyperPEEK technology result in a modulus of elasticity that is close to bone (in contrast to titanium that is significantly different)*. Plus, HyperPEEK is available across multiple implant formats. From surgical approaches to tooth profiles and void sizes, flexibility comes standard.
